Sustainability

At Western Business Park we continue to strive for greater energy efficiency and conservation. Regular energy audits and recommissioning projects enable the property management team to find new and existing efficiency measures, including opportunities to partner with tenants.

We strive to continually upgrade the spaces in which our tenants occupy by upgrading lighting to LED, upgrading washroom fixtures to low flow and window coverings to neutral sheer weave that help with heat and cooling loss.

Community Garden

In 2019, the team partnered with their neighbour, Eden Food for Change, to launch a beautiful community garden. Where the fresh produce can be donated to the food bank to help community members experiencing food insecurity.

The Last Straw

Working hard for a better tomorrow, in recognition of Earth Day QuadReal launched Last Straw an incentive to reduce the amount of straws getting tossed into the landfill every day. We handed out Stainless Steel Re-Usable Straws complete with cleaning tool to our tenants.
